Dinosaur Day

Track Detective

On this activity we had to colour in the tracks left by dinosaurs using different colour for each set of prints. Then we had to answer some questions like, how many individual animals were there, did the tracks show how many limbs the dinosaur had and were they running?

Dinosaur Day

Skull detectives.

We had to guess which skull belonged to which animal. We looked at the teeth and if they were sharp at the front then the animal would be able to grab its prey  whereas if the teeth were towards the back they were good at chewing.

Dinosaur Day

On our table we had pictures of different dinosaurs and facts about them,we had to compare 2.

I chose the Apatosaurus and the Diplodocus. The Diplodocus (meaning double beam) was 35m long  and weighed 10 tons. There has been lots of studies because fossils were found. It lived in North America around 150 million years ago.

The Apatosaurus(meaning deceptive lizard) was one of the largest animals to have ever walked on Earth .It was 23 m long  and weighed 23 tons.It is also known as Brontosaurus

Dinosaur Day

Mr Wolsey has arranged for the whole school to take part in an investigation about  dinosaurs .Today it is our turn,we are in the hall looking at different bones, teeth and dinosaurs pictures. We have to move round the tables and there are different activities. I am looking at bones at the moment and trying to identify what they are.
